On Thursday, in the morning, at Government House, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC hosted Investiture Ceremonies for the following recipients of Australian Honours and Awards announced in the 2021 Australia Day Honours List: Mr Raymond Hartley Smythe OAM; Lieutenant Colonel Henry William Stimson CSC CSM; Mr Anthony Phillip Swan OAM; Mrs Beverley Elaine Taylor OAM; Commodore William Leonard Taylor AM RAN (Retd); Mrs Suzanne Constance Thompson OAM; Mr Samuel Nelson Todhunter OAM; Mr John Michael Tyquin OAM; Dr Kevin William Vandeleur AM; Mr Ronald Alister Wallace OAM; and Dr Carden Crea Wallace AM.

Following, at Parliament House, His Excellency presided at a meeting of the Executive Council.

In the afternoon, at Government House, His Excellency and Mrs Kaye de Jersey hosted Investiture Ceremonies for the following recipients of Australian Honours and Awards announced in the 2020 Queen’s Birthday Honours List, the 2020 Australia Day Honours List and the 2021 Australia Day Honours List: Sergeant Nadine Webster APM; Inspector Nyree Lona Whelan APM; The Reverend Canon Dr John Laurence Morgan AM; Ms Rosalind Williams OAM; Mr John Denis Witheriff AM; Mrs Jacqueline Ann Wright OAM; Ms Maureen Elaine Ervine PSM; and Mr Zijian Zhang PSM. 

Following, at Anglican Church Grammar School, East Brisbane, His Excellency attended and officially opened the School’s Preparatory Year 3 and Arts Building, and addressed guests and unveiled a plaque.
