On Saturday, in the morning, at the Allies Memorial, New Farm, Honorary Aide-de-Camp Commander Nick Cusack RAN represented Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM and attended the 78th Anniversary Commemoration Service of the Victory in Europe and laid the first wreath. 

In the afternoon, at Government House, Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM returned to Government House from Official travel to Cairns Regional Council. 

In the evening, at the United Services Club, Spring Hill, Her Excellency attended the Commemorative Dinner for the 80th Anniversary, of the sinking of the 2/3 Australian Hospital Ship Centaur, and the Governor addressed guests.
