On Friday, in the morning, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC and Mrs Kaye de Jersey departed Government House for official travel to Cairns.

In the afternoon, at Cannon Park Racecourse, Woree, His Excellency and Mrs de Jersey attended the Cairns Amateurs Ladies Race Day, and the Governor presented the Governor’s Trophy.

In the evening, at the Eastern Events Lawn, Cairns Esplanade, His Excellency and Mrs de Jersey attended the Cairns Amateurs Ball, and the Governor addressed guests.
