On Monday, in the morning, at RAAF Base Amberley, Brisbane, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC attended a ramp ceremony for United States Marines who died on Saturday 5 August when an aircraft, the MV-22 Osprey, entered the water in Shoalwater Bay off Rockhampton.

In the evening, at Government House, the Governor and Mrs Kaye de Jersey hosted a reception in support of the 2017 Royal Queensland Show, ‘The Ekka’, where His Excellency addressed guests.
