On Friday, in the afternoon, at Government House, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC telephoned the Mayors of the Carpentaria, Kowanyama and Pormpuraaw councils to express his support for cyclone preparedness.

Following, at the Kedron Park Emergency Services Complex, Kedron, His Excellency visited the State Disaster Coordination Centre.

Following, at Northbank Chambers, Brisbane City, His Excellency attended a Christmas function for past and present members of the Chambers.

In the evening, at the Queensland Performing Arts Centre, South Bank, His Excellency and Mrs Kaye de Jersey attended the Queensland Ballet opening night performance of The Nutcracker.
