In the morning, at Government House: the Governor and Mrs de Jersey welcomed the Premier-elect, the Honourable Annastacia Palaszczuk MP, who presented to the Governor and Mrs de Jersey the proposed members of her interim ministry; the Governor officiated at a formal ceremony for the swearing-in of the Ministers of the State and members of the Executive Council of Queensland; and then, the Governor with Mrs de Jersey, hosted a reception in honour of the Palaszczuk interim ministry.

In the evening, at South Bank, the Governor and Mrs Kaye de Jersey attended the Queensland Symphony Orchestra Gala Opening Maestro Concert ‘Ode to Joy’, followed by a post-performance function.
