On Wednesday, in the morning Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM departed Government House for Official Travel to Gold Coast City Council.

Following, at Gold Coast Disaster Management and Emergency Centre, Ashmore, Her Excellency received a briefing on operations, toured the facility and met with staff.

Following, Her Excellency departed Gold Coast City Council for Official Travel to Scenic Rim Regional Council.

Following, at Mount Tambourine, Her Excellency visited St Bernard State School, and addressed students and teachers, toured the school and read a book.

In the afternoon, at Vonda Youngman Community Centre, Mount Tambourine, Her Excellency received a briefing from Scenic Rim Regional Council and met with staff and volunteers.

Following, Her Excellency departed Scenic Rim Regional Council for Official Travel to Logan City Council.

Following, at Marsden Council Depot, Logan, Her Excellency received a briefing from Logan City Council and met with staff and volunteers.

Following, Her Excellency returned to Government House from Official Travel to Logan City Council.

Following, at Government House, Her Excellency and Professor Graeme Nimmo RFD hosted a reception in support of Opera Queensland, and the Governor addressed guests.
