On Wednesday, in the morning, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC and Mrs Kaye de Jersey departed Cooktown for an official visit to Hope Vale.

Following, at Hope Vale Aboriginal Shire Council Chambers, the Governor and Mrs de Jersey received a briefing from Council representatives.

Following, at Hope Vale Indigenous Knowledge Centre, the Governor and Mrs de Jersey met staff and toured facilities.

Following, at the Hope Vale Primary School (Campus of Cape York Aboriginal Australian Academy), the Governor and Mrs de Jersey met staff and students and toured classrooms.

In the afternoon, at the Hope Vale Primary Health Centre, the Governor and Mrs de Jersey met staff and toured facilities, before returning to Brisbane.
