In the morning, at Government House, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC greeted members of the Probus Club of Kirra-Tugun, visiting Government House for a guided tour.
In the evening, the Governor and Mrs Kaye de Jersey hosted a Dinner in honour of Defence and ex-service personnel in Queensland. Guests included: Ms Jennifer Howard MP, Assistant Minister for Veterans Affairs and Assistant Minister of State; Representing the Chief of the Defence Force, Major General Paul McLachlan AM, CSC, Commander, 1st Division and Deployable Joint Force Headquarters, Australian Army & Mrs Anita McLachlan; Air Vice-Marshal Steve Roberton DSC, AM, Air Commander Australia, Royal Australian Air Force & Mrs Libby Roberton; Commander Mark McConnell RAN, Commanding Officer, HMAS Moreton, Royal Australian Navy & Mrs Fiona Conissis; Major General Stephen Porter AM, Commander, 2nd Division, Australian Army & Mrs Anita Porter; Air Commodore Ken Robinson CSC, Commander, Combat Support Group, Royal Australian Air Force; Mrs Jenny Gregory, State President, Australian War Widows (Qld); Ms Sonja Gilchrist, Chief Executive Officer, Australian War Widows (Qld); Mr Peter Keane, President, Legacy Brisbane & Mrs Rosemary Keane; Ms Jennifer Robertson, State Chair, Defence Reserves Support Council Queensland & Mr Jeremy Britton; Air Commodore Mark Gower OAM and Mrs Julie Gower.
Following, the Governor ceased duty as Administrator of the Government of the Commonwealth of Australia and resumed duty as Governor of Queensland, and the Honourable Chief Justice Catherine Holmes ceased duty as Acting Governor.
