On Friday, in the morning, at the Australian Catholic University, Banyo, Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM attended the Queensland Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Foundation’s New Recipients and Student Leaders Celebration, and the Governor addressed guests and presented awards.

In the afternoon, at Government House, Her Excellency received Australian Artist, Ms Kathy Ellem.

Following, at Carina, Her Excellency, accompanied by Councillor, Doboy Ward, Cr Lisa Atwood, toured properties impacted by Tropical Cyclone Alfred and met with local business owners and affected residents.
