In the morning, at the Executive Building, George Street, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC presided at a meeting of the Executive Council. 

In the afternoon, at Government House, the Governor received Clerk of the Parliament, Mr Neil Laurie, for the presentation of a Bill for Assent, and then received the High Commissioner of Britain to Australia, Her Excellency Mrs Menna Rawlings CMG.

In the evening, at Government House, the Governor and Mrs Kaye de Jersey hosted a formal dinner in support of Queensland’s Community Services Sector.
