On Thursday, in the morning, at Government House, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC CVO greeted members of Burnie Brae Chermside visiting for a guided tour of the House and gardens.

In the afternoon, at Parliament House, His Excellency presided at a meeting of the Executive Council.

In the evening, at Government House, His Excellency and Mrs Kaye de Jersey hosted a dinner in support of Regional Queensland, and His Excellency addressed guests. Guests included: Councillor Bob Manning OAM and Mrs Claire Manning; Councillor Kerry Hayes and Ms Bronwen Munro; Councillor Frank Beveridge and Mrs Sharon Beveridge; Councillor Suzette Beresford and Mr Peter Beresford; Councillor Philip Curr and Mrs Tanya Curr; Councillor Glen Hartwig and Ms Talitha Passey; Councillor Brett Otto and Mrs Ros Otto; Victor Pennisi and Sharon Pennisi; and Mrs Kate Hastings and Mr Bob Hastings APM.
