On Thursday, in the morning, at 1 William Street, Brisbane, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC presided at a meeting of the Executive Council of Queensland.

In the afternoon, at Government House, the Governor and Mrs de Jersey hosted an Investiture Ceremony for residents of Queensland, recipients of Australian honours and awards announced in the The Queen’s Birthday 2017 Honours List and the Australia Day 2017 Honours List.

In the evening, at Government House, the Governor and Mrs de Jersey hosted a dinner in honour of Queenslanders recognised in The Queen’s Birthday 2017 Honours List. Guests included: the Honourable Anne Warner AM & Mr Ian Warner; the Honourable Michelle May AM, QC & Mr Charles Brabazon QC; His Honour Judge Ray Rinaudo AM & Mrs Margaret Rinaudo; Professor Rajiv Khanna AO & Professor Kum Kum Khanna; Mr Kosmas Sclavos AM & Mrs Effie Sclavos; Ms Karyn Walsh AM & Dr Peter Walsh; Detective Superintendent Peter Fleming APM & Ms Elizabeth Murphy; Mrs Margaret de Wit OAM & Mr Hank de Wit; Mr Paul Dellit OAM & Ms Kate Gould; and Ms Cecily Pearson OAM & Mr Trevor Farrell OAM.
