On Friday, in the afternoon, at Government House, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC and Mrs Kaye de Jersey hosted a lunch in honour of Their Excellencies the Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), and Lady Cosgrove.

Later, the Governor received the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly, the Honourable Fiona Simpson MP; Clerk of the Parliament, Mr Neil Laurie; and Sergeant-at-Arms, Mr Michael Watkin, and assented to Bills of the Queensland Parliament.

In the evening, at Headquarters 1st Division, Gallipoli Barracks, Enoggera, the Governor attended the Centenary Memorial Dedication Service.
