On Tuesday, in the morning, at Government House, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC greeted St George State High School students and teachers visiting for morning tea and guided tour of the House and gardens.

In the afternoon, at Government House, the Governor hosted a luncheon in honour of the Honourable Justice John Byrne AO RFD. Guests included: the Honourable Justice Walter Sofronoff; the Honourable Justice Philip Morrison; the Honourable Justice Glenn Martin AM; the Honourable Justice David Jackson; the Honourable Justice John Dowsett AM; the Honourable Justice Andrew Greenwood; the Honourable John Helman; Mr Denis Byrne; Mr Robert Byrne RFD; and Air Commodore Mark Gower OAM.

Following, at Government House, the Governor received His Excellency Mr Jingye Cheng, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Australia, and Dr Jie Xu, Consul-General of the People’s Republic of China.
