On Saturday, in the morning, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC and Mrs Kaye de Jersey departed Government House for official travel to Cairns.

In the evening, at Cairns, His Excellency and Mrs de Jersey attended the opening of the Cairns Performing Arts Centre, and the Governor officially opened the Centre, and addressed guests.
