On Sunday, in the morning, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC commenced duty as Administrator of the Government of the Commonwealth of Australia, and the Honourable Justice Hugh Fraser assumed duty as Acting Governor of Queensland.

In the evening, at Government House, His Excellency and Mrs Kaye de Jersey greeted members of the public visiting to view the 2019 Christmas Lights display.
