On Thursday, in the morning, at Government House, Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM received Douglas Shire Council Mayor, Councillor Michael Kerr.

In the afternoon, at Parliament House, Her Excellency presided at a meeting of the Executive Council. 

Following, at Government House, Her Excellency and Professor Graeme Nimmo RFD hosted a reception in support of The Salvation Army Red Sheild Appeal and the Governor addressed guests.

In the evening, at Philip Bacon Galleries, Fortitude Valley, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo attended the 50th Anniversary Celebrations of Philip Bacon Galleries, and the Governor addressed guests.
