In the afternoon, at Government House, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC greeted students and staff of the Aspley State School visiting Government House for afternoon tea and a guided tour of the House and Gardens.

In the evening, at the Royal Queensland Art Society (RQAS) Gallery, the Governor and Mrs Kaye de Jersey attended the annual 125th RQAS exhibition opening, where the Governor addressed guests and presented awards.
