On Tuesday, in the morning, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC and Mrs Kaye de Jersey departed Brisbane for an official visit to the Lockyer Valley Region, South East Queensland.
Following, at Laidley, the Governor and Mrs de Jersey conducted an Investiture Ceremony for Queen’s Birthday Honours List 2015 recipient, Mrs Nona June Mulcahy OAM.
Also, in the morning, at Lake Clarendon, the Governor and Mrs de Jersey received a briefing and viewed produce facilities at Linnan’s Farm.
Following, at New Grantham, the Governor and Mrs de Jersey received a briefing from the Mayor of Lockyer Regional Council Cr. Jones, viewed the township redevelopment, toured the Old Gratham Butter Factory, and paid tribute to flood victims at the Grantham Flood Memorial.
In the afternoon, at Gatton Council Chambers, the Governor and Mrs de Jersey attended a light luncheon and received a briefing from councillors and local businesses.
Following, the Governor and Mrs de Jersey visited the Withcott State School, attended and addressed a special assembly at which the senior choir and school band performed. The Governor and Mrs de Jersey then, escorted by senior school leaders, toured the school, meeting staff and students before returning to Brisbane.

On return to Government House, the Governor signed two messages recommending Appropriation Bills to be tabled in Parliament.
