In the morning, at The Salvation Army Cairns Aged Care Centre, Chapel Hill, Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM presided over a Private Investiture Ceremony for Mr Alan Gillott OAM, and the Governor addressed guests.

Following, at Government House, Her Excellency greeted members of TransitCare visiting for a guided tour of the House and gardens.

In the afternoon, at Government House, Her Excellency greeted members of Valley of the Lakes Garden Club visiting for a guided tour of the House and gardens.

In the evening, at Government House, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo hosted a dinner in support of the Arts in Queensland, and the Governor addressed guests.
