On Tuesday, in the morning, at Government House, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC and Mrs Kaye de Jersey hosted a morning tea to formally handover vice-regal paraphernalia, including formal lunch and dinner menus, guest lists and speeches, to the State Library of Queensland.

In the afternoon, Councillor Jack Bawden, Mayor, Carpentaria Shire Council and Mrs Cathy Bawden; Mr Paul Taylor PM, Assistant Commissioner, Northern Region, Queensland Police Service and Mrs Kathy Hill; Ms Lisa Davies Jones, Chief Executive Officer, North West Hospital and Health Service and Mr Matthew Norman; Mr Russell Beer, Chairman, Ports North, and Mrs Josie Beer; and Mrs Kim Hughes, President, Isolated Children’s Parents Association Queensland, arrived at Government House as overnight guests.

In the evening, at Government House, the Governor and Mrs de Jersey hosted a dinner in honour of Queensland Gulf region representatives, at which the overnight guests attended, along with Mr Don McDonald AM OBE and Mrs Christine McDonald OAM, MDH Pty Ltd; Mrs Margaret de Wit, former President, Local Government Association Queensland and Mr Hank de Wit; Air Commodore Mark Gower OAM and Mrs Julie Gower; and Senior Sergeant Melissa Anderson BM.
