On Friday, in the morning, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC and Mrs Kaye de Jersey visited the Queensland State Archives, where they met the Minister for Minister for Housing and Public Works, Minister for Digital Technology and Minister for Sport, the Honourable Mick de Brenni, and State Archives staff, and toured the facility.

In the afternoon, at the Cathedral of St Stephen in Brisbane, the Governor and Mrs de Jersey attended the funeral service for the Honourable John Muir QC.
