On Wednesday, in the morning, in Gympie, Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young PSM and Professor Graeme Nimmo RFD visited Gympie Memorial and laid a wreath.

Following, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo received a briefing from Gympie Regional Council and Gympie Disaster Response management representatives and the Governor addressed the guests. 

Following, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo attended a morning tea for Councillors and Disaster Response personnel.

Following, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo visited Gympie Hospital and received a briefing on operations and met with staff and patients.

In the afternoon, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo welcomed the Mary Valley Rattler on its return to Gympie from Monkland. 

Following, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo returned to Government House following official travel to Kilkivan, Boobyjan, Goomeri and Gympie.
