On Sunday, in the morning, at Ingham, Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM and Professor Graeme Nimmo RFD received a briefing from Mayor, Hinchinbrook Shire Council, Councillor Ramon Jayo, toured flood impacted areas and met with community members.

Following, at JK’s Deli, Ingham, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo hosted a Morning Tea and met with members of the Ingham community.

After traveling onward to Cardwell, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo received a briefing from Mayor, Cassowary Coast Regional Council, Councillor Teresa Millwood and toured Cardwell’s flood impacted zones.

Following, at Seabreeze Café, Cardwell, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo met locals, Council workers and emergency services personnel for lunch.

In the evening, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo returned to Government House.
