On Thursday, in the afternoon, at Parliament House, Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM presided at a meeting of the Executive Council. 

In the afternoon, at Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre, South Brisbane, Her Excellency attended Brisbane Girls Grammar School 148th Speech Day and Prize Ceremony, and the Governor presented awards and addressed guests.   

In the evening, at Government House, Her Excellency and Professor Graeme Nimmo RFD hosted a dinner in support of the Queensland Agricultural Industry and the Governor addressed guests. Guests included: The Honourable Mark Furner MP and Miss Sally Furner; Ms Georgie Somerset AM; Mr John Corbett; Mr Nigel Burnett; Mr Chris Forrester; Mr Ian Hamilton; Ms Kim Hooper; Mr John Langbridge; Ms Jo Martin; Mr Michael Murray; Mr Troy Qualischefski; Ms Jo Sheppard; Mrs Kay Tommerup; Mr Aaron Wakeley; Mr Carl Walker; Ms Serena Zipf; Mr Dan McIntyre; Mr Scott Allen and Dr Beth Veivers.
