On Friday, in the morning, at Government House, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC received the Premier of Queensland and Minister for Trade, the Honourable Annastacia Palaszczuk MP.

In the afternoon, at Government House, His Excellency and Mrs Kaye de Jersey hosted a luncheon in honour of Queenslanders recognised in the 2020 Australia Day Honours Lists, and the Governor addressed guests. Guests included: Ms Helen Ferguson PSM and Mr Gerard Deschamps; Chief Superintendent Craig Hanlon APM and Mrs Andrea Hanlon; Mr Rodger Sambrooks AFSM and Mrs Lyn Sambrooks; and Mr Umesh Chandra OAM and Mrs Usha Chandra.
