On Friday, in the morning, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC and Mrs Kaye de Jersey departed Government House for official travel to Townsville.

In the afternoon, His Excellency visited NRL Cowboys House and toured the boys’ and girls’ campuses, meeting students and staff.

In the evening, at The Ville, Townsville, His Excellency and Mrs de Jersey hosted an Investiture Ceremony for recipients of Australian honours and awards announced in the Australia Day 2019 Honours List, and the Governor addressed guests.
