In the morning at The Ville Resort Townsville, Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young PSM undertook via telephone, an interview with radio presenter Mr Steve Price OAM, Triple M Townsville.

Following, at The Ville Resort Townsville, Her Excellency hosted an Investiture Ceremony for the following recipients of Australian Honours and Awards announced in the 2022 Australia Day Honours List, and 2021 Queen’s Birthday Honours List: Mr Jeffrey Stewart-Harris PSM, Mr Douglas Knight OAM, Mr John May OAM, Mr Ren Pedersen OAM, Mr Peter Russell OAM, Dr Deborah Simmons OAM, Dr Harry Stalewski OAM, Mrs Janice Whelan OAM, Warrant Officer Class One Adrian Wilson OAM.

Following, at NRL Cowboy’s House Townsville, Her Excellency toured the campus and met with staff and students.

In the afternoon at Parklands Aged Care Facility Townsville, Her Excellency toured the facility and met with staff and residents.

Following, at Townsville Airport, Her Excellency departed for official travel to Mount Isa.
