On Friday, in the morning at Government House, the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM and Professor Graeme Nimmo RFD received Inspector-General of Emergency Management, Mr Alistair Dawson APM.

Following, at Government House, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo hosted a luncheon for the Governor-General designate of the Commonwealth of Australia, Ms Samantha Mostyn AO.

In the afternoon, at Brisbane City Hall, Her Excellency attended The Royal Humane Society of Australasia Queensland Investiture Ceremony, and the Governor addressed guests.

In the evening, at Queensland Performing Arts Centre, South Brisbane, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo attended the Queensland Symphony Orchestra's Maestro Concert: Symphony Fantastic.
