In the morning, at Government House, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC and Mrs Kaye de Jersey, hosted a morning tea in celebration of Queensland’s Trade and Investment Program and the 2014 Premier of Queensland's Export Awards.

In the afternoon, the Governor received the General Secretary for Rhodes Scholarships in Australia, Professor Graham Hutchinson AM and the Honorary Secretary, Queensland Rhodes Scholarship Selection Committee, Ms Linda Bird.

Following, at Government House, the Governor was sworn in to act as the Administrator of the Government of the Commonwealth of Australia.

In the evening, at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre, South Brisbane, the Governor and Mrs de Jersey attended the Queensland Government's 15th Showcase Awards for Excellence in Schools Gala Dinner.
