On Tuesday, in the morning, at the Gladstone Entertainment Centre, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC officially opened the 121st Local Government Association of Queensland Annual Conference and addressed guests.

Following, at the Queensland Energy Resources (QER) Gladstone Facility and Visitors Centre, the Governor received a briefing from QER representatives and toured the Demonstration Plant.

Following, at the Northern Oil Refinery, Gladstone, the Governor received a briefing from Refinery representatives and toured operations.

In the afternoon, at the Gladstone Regional Council Chambers, the Governor received a briefing from the Mayor and Councillors.

Following, at Gladstone State High School, the Governor and Mrs Kaye de Jersey visited classrooms and attended a senior School Assembly where His Excellency addressed guests.

Following, at the Port of Gladstone, the Governor and Mrs de Jersey received a briefing from Gladstone Ports Corporation Representatives and toured operations.

In the evening, at the Police-Citizens Youth Club Gladstone, the Governor and Mrs de Jersey attended the Local Government Association of Queensland’s Annual Conference Gala Dinner.
