On Friday, in the morning, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC visited the ABC Tropical North studio and recorded an interview.
Following, at Mackay Regional Council Chambers, Mackay, the Governor received a briefing from Council representatives.
Following, at Holy Spirit College Mackay, the Governor and Mrs de Jersey attended a special assembly where His Excellency addressed guests and presented a Pierre de Coubertin Award to Mr Calvin Franklin.
Following, at Slade Point, Mackay, the Governor, with Mrs de Jersey, officially opened Lamberts Lookout and addressed guests.
In the afternoon, at the Port of Mackay, the Governor received a briefing from North Queensland Bulk Ports representatives and toured operations.
Following, at the Mackay Sugar Racecourse Mill, the Governor received a briefing from Mackay Sugar Ltd representatives and toured operations.
Following, at the Vietnam Veterans Wall of Remembrance, Mackay, the Governor and Mrs de Jersey laid a wreath on Vietnam Veterans Day.
In the evening, at the Mackay Marina, the Governor and Mrs de Jersey hosted a reception in support of the Mackay community where His Excellency addressed guests.
