On Saturday, in the afternoon, at Government House, Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young PSM received the Ambassador of the Republic of Afghanistan, His Excellency Mr Wahidullah Waissi, and Emeritus Professor William Maley.

Following, at the Old Museum, Bowen Hills, Her Excellency and Professor Graeme Nimmo RFD attended the Queensland Youth Orchestra's 30th Anniversary Concert for Chen Yang.
