On Monday, in the morning, at Government House, Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM welcomed the Honourable Steven Miles MP, Premier of Queensland, who presented to the Governor the proposed members of his Ministry. The Governor then officiated at a formal ceremony for the swearing-in of 12 Ministers of the State and four members of the Executive Council of Queensland; presided at a special meeting of the Executive Council; officiated at a formal ceremony for the appointment of eight Assistant Ministers; and hosted a reception in honour of the Miles Ministry.
