On Tuesday, in the morning, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC departed Government House for official travel to Cairns and Townsville.

In the afternoon, at the Pullman Reef Hotel - Casino, Cairns, His Excellency hosted North Queensland Investiture Ceremonies for the following recipients of Australian Honours and Awards announced in the 2020 Queen’s Birthday Honours List, the August 2020 Bravery Announcement and 2021 Australia Day Honours List: Sergeant Cary Ellen Coolican APM; Mrs Christine Susan Fairbrother OAM; Ms Cheryl-Lee Fitzgerald ESM; Ms Shannon Lee Gibbs PSM; Senior Constable John William Dijkstra; Commander Matthew Scott Richardson CSM; Mr Robert David Slater OAM; Mr Alo Tapim OAM; and Mr William Brett Moller BM.
