In the morning, at Mount Isa City Council Chambers, Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young PSM received a council briefing.

 

Following, at The Laura Johnson Home For The Aged, Mount Isa, Her Excellency hosted a private Investiture Ceremony for Mrs Patricia Fennell OAM, followed by a tour of the facilities and met with residents and staff.

 

Following, at Mount Isa Civic Centre, Her Excellency hosted a morning tea for the Mount Isa Community and the Governor addressed the guests.

 

Following, at Mount Isa Civic Centre, Her Excellency undertook, an interview with radio presenter, Ms Zara Margolis, ABC North West Queensland.

 

Following, at Happy Valley Primary School, Mount Isa, Her Excellency joined The Lead Alliance to teach the children about lead awareness and healthy living.

 

Following, at Goodstart Early Learning, Mount Isa, Her Excellency visited the facilities.

 

In the afternoon, at St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School Mount Isa, Her Excellency toured the facilities, read a book to the students, attended an assembly and addressed the students and teaching staff.

 

Following, at Mount Isa Cenotaph, Her Excellency laid a wreath.

 

Following, at Mount Isa Hospital, Her Excellency toured the facilities and met with the staff.

 

Following, at Mount Isa Royal Flying Doctors Service hangar, Her Excellency inspected an aircraft and met with the staff.

 

In the evening, at Government House, Her Excellency returned from official travel to Townsville and Mount Isa.
