On Tuesday, in the morning, at Roma Sale Yards, Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM and Professor Graeme Nimmo RFD visited the sale yards.
Following at the Roma Sale Yards, Her Excellency participated in a media interview with Queensland Country Life journalist, Ms Claire Adcock.
Following, at The Hero’s Avenue Bottle Tree Walk, Roma, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo walked through the memorial with local RSL representatives to the Roma Cenotaph where the Governor and Professor Nimmo laid a wreath.
Following, at The Country University Centre, Roma, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo toured the facilities and met with staff.
Following, at St Pauls Anglican Church, Roma, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo visited the church and viewed the leadlight and stained glass window displays.
Following, at Roma State College, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo attended a school assembly where the Governor addressed guests and participated in a Q&A session with Year 11 students.
In the afternoon, at Mandandanji Corp. Yarning Circle, Roma, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo participated in a Welcome to Country and Smoking Ceremony from Mandandanji Corp. representatives.
Following at The Big Rig viewing tower, Roma, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo visited the tower and nature viewing platform.
Following, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo departed Maranoa Regional Council for return travel to Brisbane.
