In the morning, at Government House, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC received the Premier of Queensland, the Honourable Campbell Newman MP.

Following, at the Executive Building, George Street, the Governor presided at a meeting of the Executive Council.

In the evening, at Government House, the Governor and Mrs Kaye de Jersey hosted a dinner in honour of the Officers of the Order of Australia announced in the 2014 Queen's Birthday Honours List. Guests included: the Premier of Queensland, the Honourable Campbell Newman MP and Mrs Lisa Newman; Her Honour Chief Judge Patricia Wolfe AO and Mr John Wolfe; Commander Peter Tedman DSM, OAM, ADC, RAN, and Ms Lesley Dellit; Major General Stuart Smith DSC, AM and Mrs Karen Smith; His Grace the Most Reverend Dr Phillip Aspinall and Dr Christa Aspinall; Professor Jeffrey Dunn AO; Dr Stewart Routledge AO and Mrs Helen Routledge; Mrs Win Schubert AO and Ms Agnes Tatay; Mrs Rhonda White AO and Mr Terry White AO; Professor Ian Wronski AO; and Air Commodore Mark Gower OAM and Mrs Julie Gower.
