On Friday, in the morning, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC and Mrs de Jersey departed Brisbane for an official visit to Cairns and Townsville.

In the evening, in Cairns, the Governor, with Mrs de Jersey, officially opened the redeveloped Munro Martin Parklands and then viewed Opera Queensland’s performance of ‘Barber of Seville’.
