On Saturday, in the morning, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC undertook a walking tour of Mackay Central Business District.
Following, at the Dudley Denny City Library, Mackay, the Governor and Mrs Kaye de Jersey received a briefing from staff and volunteers, and toured operations.
Following, at Harbour Beach, Mackay, the Governor, with Mrs de Jersey, officially opened the Mackay Airport Beach Horse Races and presented awards to contestants in the Children’s Pony Race.
In the afternoon, the Governor and Mrs de Jersey departed Mackay for Proserpine.
Following, at the Queensland Police Service Station, Proserpine, the Governor and Mrs de Jersey met and received a briefing from staff and toured operations.

Following, the Governor and Mrs de Jersey departed Proserpine for Airlie Beach.
