On Friday, in the morning, at Government House, Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM and Professor Graeme Nimmo RFD received Ambassador of Spain, Her Excellency Ms Alicia Moral Revilla and the Honorary Consul for Spain, Mr Alfonso Vega de Seoane.

In the afternoon, at Birrunga Gallery and Café, Brisbane, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo attended the Children's Book Council of Australia, Queensland Branch, annual Book Week event and the Governor addressed the guests.
