On Thursday, in the morning at 1 William Street, Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM presided at a meeting of the Executive Council.

In the afternoon, Her Excellency and Professor Graeme Nimmo RFD departed Queensland, and the Honourable Chief Justice Helen Bowskill assumed duty as Acting Governor of Queensland.

In the evening at Government House, members of the public visited to view the 2024 Government House Christmas Lights display.
