In the morning, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC and Mrs Kaye de Jersey departed Brisbane for an official visit to Emerald, Central Highlands, and Alpha, Central West Queensland.
Following, in Emerald, the Governor and Mrs de Jersey attended the official opening of the East Nogoa Water Treatment Plant, where the Governor addressed guests and unveiled a plaque to commemorate the occasion.

In the afternoon, the Governor and Mrs de Jersey met Mayor, Central Highlands Regional Council (CHRC), Councillor Peter Maguire, Deputy Mayor, Councillor Gail Nixon, CEO, Mr Scott Mason and other CHRC staff and were briefed on issues in the local region, before touring Emerald.
In the evening, at the Capricornian Restaurant, the Governor and Mrs de Jersey attended a dinner, hosted by CHRC Mayor, Councillor Maguire.
