On Friday, in the morning, at the Winton Multipurpose Health Service, Winton, Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM received a briefing on operations and met with staff.
Following, at Winton State School, Winton, Her Excellency toured the school, and the Governor addressed staff and students.
Following, at The Waltzing Matilda Centre, Winton, Her Excellency attended a community morning tea, and the Governor addressed guests.
Following, at the Waltzing Matilda Centre, Winton, Her Excellency participated in a guided tour of the Waltzing Matilda Centre and museum.
In the afternoon, at the North Gregory Hotel, Winton, Her Excellency attended the Festival of Outback Opera panel discussion.
Following, at Tattersalls Hotel, Winton, Her Excellency received Mayor, Winton Shire Council, Councillor Gavin Baskett for a working lunch.
Following, Her Excellency was hosted by Winton Shire Council Mayor, Councillor Gavin Baskett on a driving tour of Winton followed by a walking tour of the main street to meet local business owners.
Following, at St Patrick’s Catholic School, Winton, Her Excellency toured the school, and the Governor addressed staff and students.
Following, at the Royal Open-Air Theatre, Winton, Her Excellency received a guided tour of the historic theatre.
In the evening, at the Australian Age of Dinosaurs Museum of Natural History, Her Excellency and Professor Graeme Nimmo RFD attended the Festival of Outback Opera performance of Dark Sky Serenade.
