On Thursday, in the morning, at Government House, Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM received the Clerk of the Parliament, Mr Neil Laurie. The Governor granted Royal Assent to two Bills: Gas Supply and Other Legislation (Hydrogen Industry Development) Amendment Bill 2023 and Criminal Code (Serious Vilification and Hate Crimes) and Other Legislation Amendment Bill 2023. 

Following, at ANZAC Square, Post 1945 Galleries, Brisbane, Her Excellency attended the Australian War Widows Queensland War Widows’ Day Morning Tea, and the Governor addressed guests. 

Following, at Government House, Her Excellency presided at a meeting of the Executive Council.  

In the afternoon, at Government House, Her Excellency hosted a reception in support of the Children’s Hospital Foundation, and the Governor addressed guests.

In the evening, at the Thomas Dixon Centre, West End, Her Excellency attended the Queensland Ballet Academy’s Opening Performance of 'Soirée'.
