On Thursday, in the afternoon, at Parliament House, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC presided at a meeting of the Executive Council of Queensland.

Following, at Government House, the Governor received the Right Honourable David Carter MP, Speaker, House of Representatives, Parliament of New Zealand, and Mr David Wilson, Clerk, House of Representatives, Parliament of New Zealand.

In the afternoon, Councillor Geoff Morton OAM, Mayor, Diamantina Shire Council & Mrs Beverly Morton; Councillor Rick Britton, Mayor, Boulia Shire Council & Mrs Ann Britton; Councillor Rob Chandler, Mayor, Barcaldine Regional Council & Mrs Deborah Chandler; Councillor Bruce Scott, Mayor, Barcoo Shire Council & Mrs Maureen Scott; Councillor Ed Warren, Mayor, Longreach Regional Council & Mrs Joanne Warren; Mr Martin Forrest & Mrs Jenny Forrest; Mr David & Mrs Sarah Fysh; and Mr John & Mrs Katrina Paine, arrived at Government House as overnight guests of the Governor and Mrs Kaye de Jersey.

In the evening, at Government House, the Governor and Mrs de Jersey hosted a dinner in honour of Western Queensland representatives, attended by the overnight guests and Air Commodore Mark Gower OAM; Ms Louise Ahern; Ms Alanna Hughes; and Mr Ciaran McWhirter.
