On Tuesday, in the morning, at Wagner’s Earth Friendly Concrete (EFC), Romford, Essex, Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM and Professor Graeme Nimmo RFD toured the facility and received a briefing from Earth Friendly Concrete representatives, including CEO, EFC Green Concrete Technology UK Ltd, Mr Michael Kemp, and UK Regional Manager, EFC Green Concrete Technology UK Ltd, Mr Andy Izod.
Also in the morning, at Government House, members of W.I.T Ladies, Veteran's Wives Group visited for a guided tour of the House and Gardens.
In the afternoon, at the London Design Centre, Chelsea Harbour, London, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo toured the ABI Interiors showroom and received a briefing from ABI Interiors representatives, including Customer Experience Coordinator, ABI Interiors, Ms Katie McMahon, and Sales and Marketing Coordinator, ABI Interiors, Ms Eve Such.
Also in the afternoon, at Government House, members of the public visited for a guided tour of the House and Gardens.
Following, at the Supreme Court of Queensland, Brisbane, the Honourable Chief Justice Helen Bowskill, Acting Governor of Queensland, received Mr Neil Laurie, Clerk of the Parliament, for the presentation of four Bills to which the Acting Governor granted Assent.
In the evening, at the Sofitel London St James, London, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo hosted a Dinner in recognition of inspiring Queenslanders, and the Governor addressed guests. Guests included: Ms Elisabeth Bowes PSM; Ms Samantha Cohen CVO; Mr Michael Kemp; Mr Rachit Moti; Ms Louise Mulley; Ms Claire Small; Ms Trish Wadley; Mr Nick Williams; Group Captain Scott Woodland; Juliette Wright OAM; Mr Warren Bartlett; and Mrs Kate Hastings.
Also in the evening, at the Royal Geographical Society Headquarters, Spring Hill, the Acting Governor attended the presentation of the JP Thomson Medal and the Acting Governor addressed guests and presented an award.
