On Sunday, in the morning at the Charters Towers Scout Den, Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM visit the Scout group for a working breakfast.
Following, at Charters Towers, Her Excellency and Professor Graeme Nimmo RFD undertook a driving tour of the town with Charters Towers Regional Council Mayor, Councillor Frank Beveridge.
Following, at Charters Towers, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo visited the Zara Clark Museum and greeted volunteers.
Following, at Charters Towers, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo visited the Mike Carney Creative Industries Centre.
Following, at Edmeades Park, Charters Towers Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo planted 3 rose bushes commemorating Her Majesty The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee and the Proclamation of His Majesty King Charles III, the 150th Anniversary of Charters Towers and the Queensland Country Women’s Association Centenary Celebrations, and the Governor addressed the guests.
In the afternoon, at the Rix Hotel, Charters Towers, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo attended a working luncheon with Charters Towers Regional Council representatives.
Following, at, Charters Towers, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo visited Dillinga’s Dreaming Art Studio.
Following at Charters Towers, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo visited Burdekin River Park and Burdekin River Weir.
Following, at Charters Towers, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo visited the Women of The Outback Shed for afternoon tea with members of the local Men’s and Women’s sheds.
In the evening, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo returned to Brisbane following Official Travel to Townsville and Charters Towers.
