On Thursday, in the morning, at Government House, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC greeted members of Friendship Force visiting Government House for morning tea and a guided tour of the House and gardens.

Following, at 1 William Street, the Governor presided at a meeting of the Executive Council of Queensland, and then called upon the Honourable Annastacia Palaszczuk MP, Premier of Queensland, and Mr Dave Stewart, Director-General, Department of Premier and Cabinet.

In the afternoon, at Government House, the Governor received Dr Zhao Yongchen, Consul-General of the People's Republic of China.

Following, at Government House, the Governor and Mrs Kaye de Jersey hosted a reception to celebrate the 91st birthday of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II where His Excellency addressed guests.
